PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM OTOMASI TERINTEGRASI DENGAN ALAT SAFETY DARURAT UNTUK MENGATUR START/STOP MESIN DIESEL DI KAPAL YANG MENGGUNAKAN BAHAN BAKAR GAS

Abstract


Perkembangan pesat dari sistem otomasi di teknologi perkapalan memberikan kontribusi berbagai keuntungan dari aspek-aspek seperti; kemudahan pengoperasian kapal, perawatan rendah, umur mesin semakin panjang, awak kapal semakin sedikit, dan dampak ekonomis terhadap biaya operasionalnya. Integrasi sistem otomasi akan menghasilkan tingkat keselamatan yang semakin tinggi. Pada riset ini dikembangkan alat safety darurat yang terintegrasi didalam sistem otomasi untuk mengendalikan fungsi start dan stop mesin induk di kapal. Kemampuan ini dapat dikembangkan dengan sistem kendali jauh sebagai teknologi pendamping di kapal otonom atau drone laut. Pada penelitian ini pengembangan sistem untuk alat safety darurat hanya ditujukan untuk mendukung safety di mesin diesel yang berbahan bakar gas. Penggunaan gas sebagai bahan bakar motor diesel beresiko terhadap kerusakan material, ledakan, dan kebakaran. Alat safety darurat yang dirancang diharapkan dapat mencegah secara lebih dini terjadinya bencana tersebut. Alat Safety Darurat dikembangkan didalam sistem otomasi terintegrasi yang meliputi module board, PLC, data acquisition, dan GUI-based programming.
