PENENTUAN STANDAR KEBUTUHAN OXY LPG PADA PEMOTONGAN PELAT SECARA MANUAL

Abstract


Plate cutting manually using oxy lpg and oxy acetylene is still commonly found in fabrication process in Indonesian shipyard. In accordance with the work experience in the field for the needs of oxygen and lpg in the process of cutting manually still use estimates how many tubes are used so that is needs less accurate . Then the required standard needs the use of oxygen and lpg so that the data is accurate. The purpose of this research is to determine the standard requirement of oxy lpg used in cutting process of steel plate manually. The method used in the research method of measuring directly the process of manual cutting in the shipyard. From the measurement can be analyzed that the thicker the slab cut more and more oxygen and lpg used in the process of manual cutting seen from the equation Y = 0.057 + 0.017 X for lpg gas while for oxygen gas Y = -0.415 + 0.127 X where X serves as the thickness of the plate and Y serves as the requirement of the cutting gas used
